Lake City, City Council 6/8

Tonight, June 8th, the Lake City, City Coucil meets at the city hall ballroom at 6:30.  The Capital/Finance committee meets at 5.

Meth Bust in Rural Plainview

On May 29th the Wabasha County Sheriff's Office, Plainview Police Department and members of the Southeast MN Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at a rural farm located about 2 miles east of Plainview.  After a lengthy investigation authorities found items consistent with manufatcuring meth and arrested 54-year-old Allyn Edward Schultz for 1st Degree Possession and Manufacturing of Methamphetamine and also for 5th degree Possession of marijuana plants. 

Sheriff Rodney Bartsh commented, "I am very impressed with our deputies, investigators, and our assistant county attorney in putting this case together.  Its a relief to know that they too another supplier out of the county.  It breaks your heart to get into these search warrants and see the names listed that could be using meth in our county."

2 Casualties in Wabasha County Over Memorial Day Weekend

On Monday, May 25th at 5:45 A.M. Kellogg First Responders along with the Wabasha Ambulance and Sheriff's Office responded to a non-responsive 20-year-old female that had fallen from a roof at a rural Kellogg residence.  Paquita Suzanne Ray, of Delano and St. Cloud University student was pronounced dead at St. Elizabeth's in Wabasha.  The situation is still under investigation.

Later on that day, at 4:05 P.M. Zumbro Falls First Responders along with the Lake City Ambulance responded to a motorcycle crash at Spring Creek Motocross outside of Millville.  A 51-year-old male was pronounced dead at the scene.  Identification is pending with the family still being notified.
